Please carefully read all the reviews before you decide to interview for this company. I’ve never had such a horrible interview experience until now. They have no respect for anyone’s time and would waste 6-8 hours of your busy schedule because they don’t have a good process or competent people to do the job of holding a proper interview.
Initially there’s a tech round with 1-2 developers, this is the round that they advertise as a round to test your technical skills. This round has 2 coding questions poorly worded around a fake gaming scenario.
If you pass this round you move to an “on-site” round. The on-site has 5 interview rounds where random people from different teams would ask you questions. Until the end of the interview you have no clue which team you are actually interviewing for.
In the systems design round, you’d think they want to test your overall system design knowledge but NO they’d force the whole interview to be around database and SQL queries even though nowhere in the job description they have mentioned anything at all about working with Database and SQL or that even being a requirement. Even after repeating multiple times that I do not have any database experience, the interviewer kept throwing database questions on me for 30 minutes and asked me to just “imagine I know DB and try to think of a way around this”.
In the behavioral round the people interviewing didn’t care for the answer, they said out loud that they are just going to read from the “question bank” and note down my answers. One person actually looked bored being a part of the whole process.
Then there’s another technical round which, surprise surprise! more random questions not related to the role especially the SQL and spring boot questions they have not mentioned it in the job requirements.
THE WORST PART : After completing the initial coding round and the 5 rounds of on-site I was informed by the recruiter that they wanted to go ahead and set a final meeting with the hiring manager just so he could explain to me more about the team. I specifically asked the recruiter what the meeting is about and they assured me that I had already proven myself in technical/behavioral section and this meeting is just a normal conversation with the manager to wrap it up. Next day I join the meeting and the manager is accompanied by another developer, they give me zero information about their team and throw another coderpad link to do one more surprise technical round and ask me the same question about my tech background that I had already answered in the very first round. The manager repeats, “oh so you don’t have experience with this specific language?” Umm yea! I don’t and I mentioned it in the first round, if it was a deal breaker why did you waste 6 hours of my time?
I cannot believe how RIDICULOUS this is. After completing the technical rounds, system design and behavioral rounds who throws a surprise technical round in a final 30 minute “get to know the team” wrap up round. And ends up using the information they already had in first round against you?
The “gotcha” approach to interviewing people is a horrible practice, also no information sharing about the candidate between all the people interviewing is very unprofessional. So I had to keep repeating the same thing to every single interview round. They should be ashamed of wasting people’s time.
And if this is how they treat their prospective candidates I can’t imagine how the employees are treated.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone apply here unless you like having your time wasted and then getting forever ghosted.
