Although the interview process is long and intensive, it is for a reason. It is rare that someone leaves Federated in under 2-3 years. The whole process was devoted to making sure that not only was I right for the position, but the position and the company was right for me. As one manager told me, for this relationship to be successful, we need to both meet each other's needs. Federated was not only trying to identify the reasons I would be successful in the position, but also the reasons why I may not be, so we could deal with those together before I wasted 2-3 years figuring that out. It has now been 20 years, and I think we were both right about our decision.

Lengthy conversations about life style, upbringing, work ethic, leadership and competitiveness.
