I was contacted by a recruiter expressing interest in my application. I went through a phone screen, and the recruiter was impressed and ready to move me forward in the process. After a week we were able to schedule time with my "would-be" boss. I aced that interview, my would-be boss was excited and impressed by my experience and wanted to move me through to the next round. The third step in their process is to take an assessment that takes about 2 hours of your time. I completed my assessments and did well on those as well. Two weeks later, mind you it's already been over a month of on and off communication, the recruiter contacted me and said they'd like me to come to their office and do a panel interview, where I would meet with 4 different people. I met with the team, did really well on the interview, and they seemed excited to discuss next steps. Then they went silent. I sent a thank you email, then a week later I sent a follow-up email...and still crickets. Then, out of nowhere, a month after my panel interview they call at 5pm to tell me they went with someone else. All-in-all the process took 3 months, communication was sparse and frustrating.
