Someone referred me to the position, scheduled a phone interview with the recruiter. The interview went ok, they asked me 2 questions then seemed to check out after I answered. The next business day I received an email stating the hiring managers feedback was that "we're moving forward with candidates in the process who they feel are closely aligned with the role's people management requirements." I met and exceeded all requirements outlined in the job description, so I'm not sure where the misalignment was at.
