Fetch Software Engineer interview questions

Standard. A recruiter reached out, decided if I'm a good fit, and then connected me for my first interview. This was online, remote, on zoom. After passing that, I had a 4-5 hour gauntlet interview at their headquarters at a later date. The main thing I wanted to highlight was the unprofessional conduct during the gauntlet. Everyone was nice, but the interview was unprepared. In my first interview that day, they did not have anything set up and ready for me to solve the first interview. We hand to frantically find an IDE, and ended up finding a very poor one online. I also use a different keyboard layout, and didn't have time to switch. As such, the interview went poorly, but I don't think fetch took the appropriate steps to ensure I had a supportive environment to show my skills. Considering they didn't give an opportunity to retry at least that portion, I feel it is important to highlight my negative experience.

I participated in the screening process for the apprenticeship program. I was assigned a take home exercise to build an API that converted JSON data of a receipt into points according to some wacky rules.
