I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at First Student (Prairie View, IL) in Jan 2020
Interview
Young inept girl never asked me if I was a citizen or a permanent US resident. Apparently, you need to be at least a permanent resident to get your CDL. It was also a big problem that I had a Wisconsin Drivers License. I found out later that the ATU President has a Wisconsin License, and it's not a problem.
They will do a phone interview first, and they will ask some question about why do you want to be a school bus driver and what is your advantages than other candidates.

Interview
No interview process, just sign up and pass the background drug and physical test, then fill out paperwork and start training which they’ll provide transportation for and multiple choice testing for your CDL
I applied online. I interviewed at First Student (Phoenix, AZ)
Interview
They are very short staffed right now, so as long as you meet the basic requirements you will be hired. I was not interviewed, I simply started the hiring process.
