I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Camas, WA) in Jan 2017
Interview
Round 1: 15 minute phone screen with recruiter. Basic questions: Why Fisher? What do you know about us? Tell me about yourself. Then the recruiter reviewed what positions they have under their "Investment Associate" title. There were around 5 different positions.
Round 2: 30ish minute video interview with the same recruiter as round 1. More detailed questions, behavioral/situational questions. "Tell me about a time when..." The recruiter also reviewed the different positions under Investment Associate.
Round 3: I was invited to fly out to Camas, WA for an onsite interview "super day." Fisher booked flights, hotel, provided a per diem allowance for food, and gave us access to their company Uber. Very generous experience. There were a total of 3 interviews, each with a manager for a specific group/sector of the firm (this depends on what you expressed interest in to the recruiter). All behavioral-based questions, nothing unexpected. There was also a presentation on their benefits package and a happy hour in the afternoon.
I heard back three weeks later that they would not be pursuing my candidacy. At that point, I had already accepted an offer elsewhere.
Note: Read through the Glassdoor reviews under interview. Notice how many people have been flown out to their HQ to interview and don't actually end up with offers? It seems like they may use their extravagant interview process as a way to spread word about their company to the millennial generation. Another odd thing is how they really do try to sell you on their company and the Portland area. Usually the interviewees are the ones that need to sell themselves, not the other way around. Overall, it was a nice experience and I am glad to have interviewed with Fisher. Advice? Know their company, read Glassdoor, and take advantage of seeing Portland while you're out there.
I enjoyed the process but also no idea where it’s going. Excited to see what happens and hoping for a good result. Also I need to write 30 words I guess
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Camas, WA) in Jun 2021
Interview
Don’t apply. The only entry position is client service associate which is basically busy work nobody wants to do. They respond to your application quickly because HR is measured by success on how many interviews they do. So they literally interview knowing that they aren’t going to hire. That’s why they always have job openings listed on their website. So they can keep HR busy. The firm has no flexibility. 50 hours of busy work if you do take the job. The process consists of a phone screening then round robin with multiple teams claiming they have open positions but again they only hire CSA for new hires. Questions are all normal behavioral and really easy but hiring is really dependent on if enough people have quit recently that they need bodies.

Interview
The overall interview process was pretty lengthy. For starters, you aren’t applying for the “Investment Associate” role but rather multiple roles that the company thinks you’d fit in well with. First you meet with a recruiter, then you meet with multiple hiring managers, then a debrief with a recruiter about your experience, and then back to one of the hiring managers, and finally culminating with a Vice President or “higher-up.” All this being said, everyone was very polite and welcoming throughout the process. Interview questions were standard behavioral questions with a few random ones mixed in. Expect the whole process to take at least a month from start to finish.
