I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (San Mateo, CA) in Apr 2018
Interview
A headhunter hooked me up with their recruitment firm and it went from there. The process has been about 1 1/2 months so far. I loved every part of the interview. This type of business and atmosphere is where I thrive. Competition only makes you a better salesperson. I truly hope I get this position as I am ready to start with this company. They have a great story and have a lot of pride in what they do and the care they give the clients. I have been very successful in similar roles and ready to get back out there and pound the pavement (phone).
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Tampa, FL) in May 2023
Interview
Great initial interview. Although my resume was rejected, mainly due to experience. The recruiter and I have a good conversation. Anyone with the right experience can certainly land this role.

Bait and switch RUN!
I got approached by a headhunter, I work at a major wirehouse with over 8 years of experience.
They wanted me to switch cities and then offered me a role that had nothing to do with financial services. Cut down my salary significantly. I had a bad feeling from the beginning.
Interviewed with sales leaders that were
in their early 30s and they all mentioned significant staring salary and compensation range for their salespeople.
They do HR interview, employment application first, then background check. Finally a panel interview for 3 hours.

Tell me why are you looking to switch?
Rejected w/in 24 hrs despite my previously being an equities analyst w/global firm in NYC. AGEISM is real. They want young, malleable, cheap candidates or those w/large books of business. They are NOT interested in MATURE CANDIDATES w/EXPERIENCE. Ken, just like the young gals?
