I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (San Mateo, CA) in May 2010
Interview
There was an initial phone interview with the recruiting manager. That went very well. He was super chill. At times it was awkward because he would curse during the interview. I scheduled a 1 on 1 interview with him over the phone. I did my one on one interview and it went well. I talked to 3 group VPs. The interviews weren't structured too much, mainly conversation. Simple questions about past experiences and mainly walking through the resume. Salary was pretty much stated in the interview. For the AE role it was 30k per year plus commission which they said the average person makes 75k. The recruiting manager who did my phone interview facilitated the interviews throughout the day. He gave me feedback on what the VPs said about me (even though he said he wasn't supposed to). He gave me a tour of the facility. I met a few employees. Then as we walked out he told me that the next step was a mock phone call. He also added that he thought i was going to get an offer. It was weird to hear that from an HR rep, it was almost an unofficial offer. The mock call went well. It consisted of me trying to convince the other person to let Fisher Investments manage their money. I got feed back from the two individuals who did the mock call. I received an offer a couple of days later. It was for 30k (broken down by an hourly rate) plus commission. Benefits seemed good. no signing bonus.
I applied online. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Plano, TX) in May 2026
Interview
Three rounds of interviews. The first one was on zoom. Second one was on site with a tour of the property. Final was on zoom again. Final interview was definitely the most difficult. At the end of the final interview I was told the hiring managers were going to review candidates and that I would hear from them by the end of the week. I never heard from them again. Very strange. Thought after 3 rounds of interviews they would at least reach out to tell me no.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Tampa, FL) in Mar 2026
Interview
It was a 30 minute phone interview with the hiring team basically going through my resume asking questions about it as well as some behavioral questions. It was. average difficulty overall and I made to the next interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Tampa, FL) in Feb 2026
Interview
Easy short phone call. Basic behavioral questions. Lots background details about Fisher that is not really needed in a first interview. The flow of the interview is weird because you go from answering questions about yourself to hearing about the pay structure of the company and then back to more questions about yourself.

Tell us about yourself and your background? Why Fisher? Why this role?
