I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Plano, TX) in Jan 2021
Interview
Multi Step interview involving managers up to the VP level, some group, some individual. Sometimes it would come off like they wanted someone less technical or less analytical for role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Walk me through how you would communicate a new project up and across teams.
The interviewer asked basic question such as tell me about yourself. Emphasis Excel knowledge and computer proficiency. The interviewer placed huge focus on the company culture and being a team player.
Had a phone interview, which progressed to a zoom interview. It seems they already had someone lined up for the position because they asked me "shoot in the foot" style questions.
There is a very rigid interview process in which it feels like you arent given much chance to say anything that could land you the job. There is also no negotiation allowed on salary, hours, benefits, or remoteness.
