I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (London, England) in Oct 2018
Interview
Application via LinkedIn; weeks later an unscheduled phone call to screen me, with an invite to a formal telephone interview. This interview was confirmed for 3-4 weeks later. On the date and time of the appointment no call came. FI insists they did call but I had no missed call nor any voicemails, and they had the correct number for me. I gave a number of options to do the call after all, but they then came back with dates/times of which I'd clearly informed them I would not be available. I left it at that. Potential employers might prefer applicants who are in work rather than unemployed, but in that case it would be nice if recruiters understood the commitment an applicant has to their current employer (even if it's a temporary employer) and the hoops an applicant has to jump through to accommodate recruiters. The complete lack of understanding of this shown by Fisher Investments put me off wanting to continue with my application.
