I had the initial recruiter call after which the phone interview was scheduled. The interviewer seemed to be very distracted during the interview. The question was not difficult. He said I didn't necessarily have to get the code running. But besides a few initial minor typos which I fixed immediately I had fully working code with correct output for all the discussed test cases after running it. Since we had extra time he asked me an extension which I also solved correctly very quickly and had the code running and passing every test case. Since we still had time left I wanted to refactor my code a little. I told him initially that I wanted to do this after ensuring correctness of code and he agreed, but he later said the code looked good and moved on to questions and the interview ended 10 minutes early. I got a generic email reject without any feedback 2 days after the interview. I've never had such a bad interview experience. This was such a waste of time.
