I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at FluidStack (Austin, TX) in Apr 2026
Interview
30 minute interviews where every second is spent grilling you with 30 secs or less at the end for you to ask questions. Not great for getting a true read on leadership.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FluidStack in Mar 2026
Interview
recruiter screen -> technical interview -> behavioral interview -> hiring manager -> final interview with VP/CEO/COO. the full process can take 4 weeks.
- recruiter screen: 30 min, mostly chatting about the Company and your own experiences
- technical interview: 45 min, with a fellow engineer, casual, asking about your experiences and scenario based technical questions
- behavioral interview: 30 min, with a senior manager, question is what's your most difficult challenge, they also ask a bunch of follow-ups to drill down your answer
- HM interview: 30 min, blend of technical and behavioral questions, they like to ask questions on how you can work fast and under pressure
- VP/CEO/COO: I didn't get to this part unfortunately, but I guess before this point, the hiring decision is already made.
if you are jumping from a fast-paced and high-pressure place, like Tesla, Amazon, Meta, etc., you should be able to answer those behavioral questions pretty well.
