I applied online. I interviewed at Foot Locker (Detroit, MI) in Oct 2014
Interview
I applied online and called to check the status of my application. The manager asked me about 6 questions and told me the information for my interview a few days later. It was a group interview with about 10 interviewees and 12 interviewers each from a different store. When the interview started they asked us to introduce ourselves by saying our name and favorite shoe. Once everybody answered they proceeded with the interview, asking us about 10 questions. They picked people randomly to answer questions. When the interview was over they gave us paperwork to fill out with our basic information and avalibility.

Question 1
Why should we hire you?
Name a time when you made an mistake and how you fixed it
I applied online and got a phone call a week later to do the in person interview. In person I had to visit the store and ask for the manager that contacted me.
It was 10-15 minutes. Went pretty easy. They asked about me random questions and then told me about the job. The interviewer was nice and told me not to worry and that it is just general things.
The interview was quick and easy. They asked basic sales-related questions and just wanted to make sure you would be pleasant and helpful. No in-depth shoe knowledge is necessary. Not for you if you want to be a laid back sales person.
