The interview process itself was fine, with a number of individual conversations and standard competency based interview questions. The Recruiter managing the process was prompt at coming back to me with next steps and who I was going to meet at each stage, of which there were 5 stages in the end. I met some lovely people and they all gave me a good impression of the company throughout the process. Unfortunately I wasn’t successful. The disappointing part of the process was the feedback, or the lack of. You would have thought, for a senior HR role and after 5 interviews, you’d have the opportunity to speak with someone. Instead, I received a LinkedIn message with a copied and pasted ‘thanks but no thanks’ message, with no feedback, just that I wasn’t the chosen one. I can’t believe some people are still treating candidates this way! Be prepare to invest in the process but as soon as you’re not valuable to their business, you’ll receive the absolute minimum interaction.
