      Front Desk Agent Interview

      Nov 30, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Beverly Hills, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Four Seasons (Beverly Hills, CA) in Feb 2012

      Interview

I applied by internet for Front Desk Agent at Four Season Beverly Hills, CA. After few days I was contacted by one of HR employee via email and scheduled for face to face interview a couple days later. To be honest, the email I got felt to sweet to be true. A lot of "great!"and "I see you!". Nevertheless, I applied " great!" too. One hour before scheduled interview, I got a call that she can't see me today due to some emergency at work. We rescheduled interview for next week and on the day of interview, I came 15 minutes earlier and was asked to fill up employee application. Mean time, two other people finished their application, one guy I believe tried to apply for restaurant position and another guy just pop up without scheduled interview filling out his application. When the HR employee saw that he was Director of Security in another hotel, she just flew from her desk and started her ohhh and ahh. They had a such a good conversation about who knows who in LA. Mean time in the real world, one hour later and one hour late of my scheduled interview, I seat in the hallway and dream to be a Director of Security and just.... pop up somewhere just because I can.....and every HR employee will drop what they do and start flying around me. Must be nice. Not even interviewed yet, and already felt where is my place. Welcome to Four Season Beverly Hills where" we treat everyone the same way we wanted be treated" Welcome to Downstairs. So, my time came after long sucky wait and interview took 5 minutes. She ask me in hurry few standard questions with attitude , and one of them was why I left my previous work. I explained that, I moved to another state due to my husband's work. Her answer: oh, so you are the victim. OMG! Really! Like I said, welcome to Downstairs! You probably think that, it is one incident, just I had a bad luck? Or is just one bad employee? Yes? No it is not. Do you remember the guy applying for restaurant position? After my interview, I saw him coming back from another HR office and I ve never saw someone so pale on the face in my life after interview. It is clear to me that it is a standard for this hotel to treat people in down low attitude.
