I was called in during a recruitment drive at the Goregaon office. I reached at around 10:30 am and was told to go straight to a conference room where there were around 15 more candidates. The HR handed us the written test paper and gave us 30 mins time to solve it. Once she came back after grading the papers, the results were so consistent that the HR actually accused us of cheating! That is extremely unprofessional behavior in my opinion.
Once that was done I finally had my interview at 3 pm. Even between the 11-3, the same HR came in to the conference room eating lunch, taking personal calls, discussing other candidates in front of the shortlisted candidates in the conf. room. All in all I found this behavior extremely unprofessional.
Even during the interview, the interviewer constantly kept showing his superiority instead of actually assessing my skills. For e.g. Fractal does a lot of statistical analysis and modeling and I had worked on a statistical model in a one-month internship that I had done at some other place. The model was one of the many things I had worked on during that internship. When the interviewer asked me about the the model, I answered with everything I had studied and worked on. He kept asking me such detailed questions which only someone who has worked on those models day in and day out would know. And whenever I got stuck on a particular question, I saw a smirk on the interviewer's face. Even the other questions were completely unrelated. I was interviewing for a CPG position, and the interviewer kept asking me questions about financial statement analysis.
It was a very unprofessional and unpleasant experience for me.
