The interview process requires an immense amount of time and preparation, only for the company to show a complete lack of respect for your time in return. They expect rapid, immediate turnaround for scheduling, operating under the assumption that candidates have no other commitments. The team and recruiter repeatedly emphasizes on the phone and interviews that they have a "chill" culture, but the reality on the ground is a cold, unwelcoming monoculture. During the grueling onsite interview, absolutely no one in the office seemed happy. Everyone appeared overly serious, and I didn't see a single person smile the entire time. There is also a glaring lack of diversity across the engineering teams. Throughout the panels, executive leadership treats the day like a hostile interrogation. Specifically, the CSO exhibits a massive ego and is openly rude; he will ask a question and aggressively interrupt or cut you off while you are actively answering or talking just to criticize you. On top of it, they seemed to be more interested in what your company is doing rather than your own individual contributions. Furthermore, the physical office space felt cramped, overstimulating, and dangerous. The facility features massive, heavy industrial machinery placed directly along walking paths with zero safety guards in place for employees, alongside noticeable fumes.
