The process started with a conversation with the recruiter to understand the role and explain my background. Typical conversation that ended up with a 2nd round of interviews with the hiring manager which was the director of the team.
He missed our first interview and had to reschedule. Our 2nd interview with scheduled for a 30 minute technical session. He did not seem engaged at all. Talked about the role a bit and then went off to ask questions like what's the difference between .NET Framework vs .NET Core? After his questions were asked and answered, he handed it over to me to ask any questions. Ask a few questions but with the hiring manager not being engage and giving one or two word answers, I'd figured this wasn't going anywhere so we ended the interview.
Didn't hear back from the recruiter so I reached out a week later and he gave me the canned response of having too many people candidates so they're going a different route.
