I applied online then a month later in december got a call from Lisa with frontier in flight recruiting to do an interview via phone. I was invited to Denver for an interview. I had to drive 3 hrs to fly frontier from GA, wasnt great but they did cover airfare and lodging which was very nice considering lots of companies dont even do that. the flight attendants on the way to denver were so sweet and welcoming they let me and other come to the back with them and chit chat and offered me some free snacks. Stayed at la quinta inn down the street from denver. there were 44 other applicants staying at the hotel as well. I ran into a group i the lobby all conversing and I joined. Everyone was really nice and outgoing. It was nerve racking but its important to remember that most companies can send how many every people they want to training so dont let other intimate you.
We all walked in the snow to frontiers headquarters (5 min walk) and reported on time i think 8 am i dont remember now. you will sign in and they will take you to the break room. you will be in that break room literally all day so prepare yourself. after they start the intros they will take you down the hall to a conference room and show you their frontier presentation. it gets you excited for your chance and sharon the main lady tells you that they will let you know by the end of the day if you are selected or not so that you are not worrying ur brains out for days lol.
Afterwards, you walk back down to the breakroom and you will have a flight attendant watching you in the room the entire time checking to see how you interact with others ect. my suggestion to you is to get up out of ur seat and mingle around the room like you are networking. Although, I know people who sat at the table interacting with others at the same table laughing being loud the entire time and still got an offer. They call you back one at a time and they take you back to sit outside the offices where the interviews are conducted. this is where the nerves really set it. First you go into an office with 2 flight attendants, they are very nice and laid back and comforting they just talk to you and ask you interview questions and make small talk. be sure to answer the question throughly and dont let yourself talk too much and saying anything that might hinder your chances(it goes so fast sometimes you dont realize youve said too much until later on lol.) next you go in with the "big dogs" 2 members of management. they are still friendly but straightforward and more intimidating. just sound confident and professional they will try to confuse you with difficult questions so just be prepared. I could tell that because i looked sweet and innocent they doubted i could take charge in an emergency situation. No one was suppose to leave until everyone has had their turn but we eventually ran out of time so at like 3 pm they started calling people back again and you will either make it or break it.
I was not chosen and was not invited to attend training, Sharon called me out with 2 others, and I asked her if she could tell us what we needed more improvement on and she basically gave us the sugar coating and thanked us for our time.
Not sure why I was not chosen I wore a black dress pant suit with pantiehoes, pearls, one inch heels, daytime makeup, hair pulled back. I thought my answers were great. but in the end most of the men were chosen and most women that were dressed more business casual than business professional with their hair all down and flowing. I was surprised at some. But i met some really sweet people that did get chosen by Frontier. this was my second interview and i found comfort in others who told me they have been interviewing for a fa position for as long as several months to a year. rejection is not for the faint hearted people but you get used to it. dont give up - a perfect example i had another interview a week later to be exact and i WAS chosen and invited to training with that company and there was way less people that were invited there (12)!
dont be crushed when one door closes another opens people!
Good luck and happy Flight Attending!
