I applied for this role online and was contacted by the hiring manager very quickly. The interview process was pretty straightforward: 1) Phone screen with the hiring manager to discuss your experience 2) Video interview with campus recruiting team lead to discuss your experience 3) Final round with the hiring manager and hiring manager's boss to discuss your experience and fit I made it to the last round stage and met with the hiring manager and her boss in person for the final interview. To be honest, the final interview felt very unstructured. The hiring manager had issues getting into the building which was a little weird. She seemed genuinely nice. The manager I interviewed seemed to assess me more for culture fit than actual competencies for the role. I felt it was very easy to have a bias in their recruiting process. It wasn't a diverse interview panel and it just seemed like I wasn't really assessed on my ability to do the job, but rather, my fit on the team. This approach of "culture fit" opens the door to a host of biases in recruiting. I hope they have a clear plan or process to ensure equitable opportunities in their recruiting process. This experience seemed too open to the potential for unconscious bias.
