First step, was a TA screen. Very strange questions - the interviewer was fixated on the definition of a "skill". They also did not give me any opportunity to ask questions. I later noted that this TA person posted MAGA nonsense on her LInkedIn profile - definitely not a very professional move. They also screwed up the time of the next interview, and I had to clarify that with them - they claimed they sent out the invite, and tried to blame it on my Email provider (which is a very established, Top 5 provider that has never failed me elsewhere), but they couldn't have since she she herself didn't know the correct time - another serious TA fail. The second step, with the hiring manager, was even worse: she began with "trap" questions, asking me technical details that I wouldn't know unless I worked for the company, and used my answers in a very dismissive way. Later in the interview, when I outlined very successful approaches to workplace safety in my own history, she became agitated and dismissive - literally could not accept that her own approach wasn't the absolute best. As a career EHS professional with some significant successes in my history, I was shocked to experience such a close-minded, arrogant and dismissive EHS leader. Not surprising that their incident rate is atrocious. Very daunting for a company that prides itself on its innovation and creativity.
