I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GLG (Boston, MA) in Dec 2018
Interview
During the initial 1 hour phone screen the interviewer asked a few general-knowledge programming questions. Required no real in-depth thought, mostly "what does X mean?" We also talked for a bit about the culture at GLG, what I was looking for, and he answered questions I had about the company.
The second (final) interview was a 1 hour project presentation to the team. I chose a weekend project app I made. I think they're generally looking for something that has an interface, a database, and an API, although it seems like they're open to cool projects of other sorts as well. After the presentation, we went out for a low-pressure lunch at a nearby restaurant.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GLG (Austin, TX) in Oct 2018
Interview
There is a half hour phone screen that is mostly behavioral questions.
The in person interview is an hour long tech demo of an app you already have made (no on the spot coding or trick questions!) Then an hour-ish lunch where you go out with the six people from the tech demo to get to know more about them and GLG itself.
It was the least stressful job interview I have ever had. It was simply a demonstration of knowledge you already had and making sure you jive well with the company values.
