      ACF Senior Underwriter Interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at GM Financial (Alpharetta, GA) in Aug 2015

      Interview

I had a mentor of mine through the school recommend applying for this job. The process took less than a week. I was interviewed by three people in their board room. They asked me some pretty general and (to be expected) questions. Nothing too hard. If I wasn't always having issues with stage fright I'm sure I could have gotten the job if I really wanted it. After about 20 minutes they told me the kind of hours I would be working. (9-6 most days), (11-8 once a week), and I would have to work every other Saturday, upon which I respectfully declined the opportunity. Overall a very quick and easy interviewing process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about your background; you can use your resume as a reference. What's your ideal culture? Why do you want to leave your current job? How does what you're doing now make you a good candidate for the role that you're applying for? It sounds like you do more X rather than what the job description requires. (They were essentially asking me whether or not I was confident that my transferable skills would be adequate enough for the job) You'll be needing to handle X, X, X, X, X, and X all on a regular basis at the same time and you'll be needing to be able to turn out an average of X number of ____ daily tasks on a regular basis. How does that make you feel? (They were essentially asking me if the job description intimidated me)
