I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Gallup in Jan 2012
Interview
I have applied to Gallup's Business analyst position located in Irvine, CA. They contacted me the next day to schedule a 45 minute phone interview. During the interview the person asked me many questions on personality, behavior, past experiences, and etc. The person said that she can only repeat the question but can not answer any questions. I was surprised at the questions because of the fact that I am an Industrial Engineer and they were asking me about marketing such as "Would you rather have many small clients or few big ones?". I mostly answered as neutral and risk minimizing as I could think of right at the top of my head. The questions were tough especially for me, someone who was fresh out of college and had no full time work experience.
I thought they concentrated too much on the personality test and totally disregarded what I could bring to the table at Gallup.

Question 1
Was there a time where you motivated people to fight for your cause. How did you do it.

Interview
Simple phone screen with recruiter. Then second call with a business development lead. Stressed the importance of pre interview personality test. If you don’t score high on it most likely won’t request an interview.

Interview
CUMBERSOME AND REPETITIVE. First of all, upon applying online, you have to take an online personality test that takes about 40 minutes. If you're successful, you get an email within the week to schedule a phone interview, once again based on personality and which lasts 40 mins. And then one week later you get another interview, still pretty much on personality. They barely ask you anything about your competencies. Waiting to hear back. One personality-based screening is ok, but THREE? They could save their recruiters' time by having only two and then sending out assessments.
Check thoroughly their website for their corporate culture.

Interview
If you have got an interview opportunity, an email would be sent to you to call upon for the date of the first phone interview. In both the first and second phone interviews, I was basically asked by a long list of questions, where the interviewer was not allowed to elaborate those questions. After the interview, I was asked to wait for three to five working days for the result.
