I applied for the position online and was contacted via text message to set up a phone interview. The interviewer called me at the designated time and asked the typical questions regarding general competency for the role. I was informed I would receive an update once they completed the first round of interviews. I was ghosted after speaking with the recruiter. After being ghosted I continued applying to other positions with other companies until I saw the same position reposted with GardaWorld. I figured since it's the norm for companies to ghost applicants in 2024, so I applied again. I did not expect to receive an invite to interview for the position, but to my surprise, I was contacted via text to set up a phone interview. I was going to reject the invite but figured it might be fun to see if the new interviewer had any knowledge of my previous application; he did not, and when I asked about it a few minutes into the interview, it took him about 5 minutes to find my previous application. Once the interviewer located my previous application, he was amazingly quick to throw the earlier interviewer under the bus by saying "he's not in the Region anymore". I can understand that and so we continued with the interview, which was the same exact questions that were asked in the first interview. Once the interview was completed, I was again informed that I would be contacted after the first round of interviews was completed. The next day, I received a very generic rejection letter, it informed me that they were going to pursue a "more qualified" candidate. This is the part of the process that I had the biggest issue with, as I was horrifically overqualified for the role, but obviously in need of a job so I got desperate enough to apply for a role which was eons beneath where I am at in a professional capacity at this point in my career. I would like to suggest if anyone from GardaWorld reads this, please update your software so when you reject someone, they're rejected for the true reason.
