(1) Referral Submission by current employee
(2) One week later, "Informational Phone Call"
(3) Three weeks following (2), Recruiter Phone Call
(4) Three weeks following call with Recruiter was a Shadow call (30 min call with a "high performing" employee currently in this role to learn more about the role)
(5) The day following the Shadow call, call with 2 Hiring Managers; found out same day that I was moving to the final round, a panel interview at the Ft. Myers campus
(6) Panel Interview; 3 hour interview consisting of: campus tour, on site shadow with another employee in the TCM role; presentation to the panel; role play; additional interview questions and feedback on role play and presentation
(7) One week later, email from recruiter saying I they did not think I was the right fit for the TCM role and they wanted to "fast track" interview me for the Client Partner role
Where it becomes frustrating after an already 3 month long interview process:
The recruiter I was assigned to for the Client Partner role (not the same recruiter) said verbally I was to receive an interview for the CP role and that she was aligning schedules. Radio silence for 4 weeks. I followed up by email, phone and LinkedIn nearly every day during this time. After 4 weeks of follow up, she returned my call only to say that I was in fact, not getting an interview.
The recruiting staff at Gartner is green and that inexperience shows in their recruiting and interviewing process. I know 10+ people who currently work there and bring 2 masters degrees and 8 years of experience. This is not how you treat people in the interview process.
