Never was interviewed. Was given an assessment test which linked to a dead Google project (written in Java). The assessment test was very vague and the instructions were very incomplete. I thought part of the test was to read the instructions very carefully and do only what they asked. WRONG. You're supposed to track down the missing Google project and incorporate that code into your project, even though the instructions say and imply that this should only take 1-2 hours.
I spent 8 hours and did not even implement the Google code into my project.
I felt like this was a HUGE waste of my time and just brain games, which never lead to an interview. I feel like I was qualified and atleast deserved an interview, and I was not selected based on a technicality, and based on their poor instructions for an assessment test.
I feel that their assessment test does not assess programming skills but rather assess your ability to gather instructions that do not exist. I cannot imagine working there, as your projects are probably similar, and very poorly defined. I can only imagine having to ask a million questions just to "get it right" or read their brains.
Overall, I felt like the interview process required too much time for nothing. I think they are missing out by using technicalities against valid job prospects. Good luck to them.

I applied online. I interviewed at Gartner (Dallas, TX)
Interview
I applied online, then a recruiter scheduled a call on MS Teams , I joined the call and turned on my camera but his cam was offline the whole time, and he joined late to the call and talked about the position and asked about me, but I haven't heard back from him ever since and he ghosted me, very bad experience I had with them.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Gartner in Aug 2024
Interview
This position was open for several months. I applied online. Got a phone screen phone call. I had not committed to it since I had other offers I was considering. The recruiter reached out to me again and seemed ethusiastic. At that point I said that I wanted to go ahead with the interview process.
A month passed and I have not heard anything. Someting told me to just jot a follow-up line. At that point I got replies from several HR people at the company tht moved my application forward. Original recruiter wrote back, appologized and said that got busy with other. I thought, "WTF? That's your job".
Anway, went ahead through three more rounds of interviews, one with a manager, one with an architect and the final one with the director. I thought I did well and my resume was ideal for this position, but a few days later I got an email telling me that the company would not go ahead with my canadidacy.
A month has passed and I see the same job posting on multiple board sites. This company is either not serious about filling this posistion or there is something else going on.
