I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (New York, NY) in Apr 2015
Interview
Applied through school's career website. Got noticed for interview on campus with two senior financial analyst after 1-2 weeks. General behavioral questions, asked how the company do business, also asked scenario testing questions to see what kind of employee you will be. Did not get to seconds round. But it was mentioned that second round will be two weeks later.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Gartner
Interview
2 rounds of phone interviews with different Recruiters, a phone interview with the HM, followed by an on-site interview with a peer, the HM, and second line manager. Gartner recruiting was extremely professional and helpful through the entire process, always getting back to me promptly and contacting me when they said they would.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gartner (Stamford, CT) in Nov 2013
Interview
It started with a phone interview with an HR person. Next round was a phone interview with the hiring manager. The third round included 2 interviews with other managers at the company and then a final interview with the hiring manager that included a presentation and some role play exercises. Overall, it was a pretty difficult and lengthy process. May have been worth it if an offer was made, but lost out to someone with and MBA and 2 more years of experience. Seems like a great company though.
