I applied online in November to the Rock Hill, South Carolina location. I work at the bluffton location a year prior. I got a call about a week later asking me to come in for an interview with the Geek Squad manager, he asked questions along the line of customer service skills, how you function in a team, task - handling skills and general workplace questions, Two of the questions were worded oddly, and admittedly my answer was of a generic customer service kind. Being able to work with the elderly is a key feature they were interested in knowing. He asked me to come in the next day to interview with the GM. She asked me questions more so along the line of my personality, how I correspond with other employees, ability to function as a team and individually, and other things like how I would handle theft. She advised me she would make some calls to see if she could get me on board, and would get in touch with me that friday. I previously work for Best Buy Mobile a calendar year prior. So I'm assuming that meant calling my references and previous employers. She called me on Friday, and asked me to come in and fill in paperwork. The process was very comfortable whilst also professional. I'm aware not all Best Buys have great management, but this location seems to have assertive and friendly managers, who values their employees.
