More rigorous than other companies but everyone is very easy to talk to, and they asked good questions. Great communication each step of the way. It was a Good overall experience.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Genentech (Portland, OR) in May 2014
Interview
7 persons interviewed me in 5 hours. many repeated questions in different meetings. interviewees were well prepared having reviewed resume. i was interviewed by several employees that would be coworkers in a panel interview that worked well. i was also interviewed by people outside of the department, a great idea. the interview process is very log winded, there were several rounds and i went back to the site twice after a phone screen and a 1v 1 .
