My experience with General Dynamics Mission Systems was disappointing and not reflective of the professionalism I expected from a major defense contractor. The interview process started off well, but communication quickly became inconsistent and frustrating. I was given specific timelines for next steps and updates, but those dates came and went with no follow-up at all.
I reached out multiple times politely to the recruiter and hiring manager, and received no response. For a company that emphasizes structure, process, and accountability, the lack of basic communication was surprising and unprofessional. It leaves candidates feeling disregarded and undervalued, especially after investing time and effort into interviews and paperwork.
If GDMS wants to maintain a strong reputation in the industry, they need to significantly improve the candidate experience, follow through on their commitments, and treat applicants with the same respect they expect from them
