Genesys Software Engineer interview questions

A recruiter called to setup first skype interview. Was sent a list of about 7-10 puzzles/code questions. Was asked to solve some during the interview and was asked to send the rest in an hour after the call. Later the recruiter called to schedule another skype interview. That one was based on design-class diagram-coding. And havnt been contacted after that!! Emailed several times to get the feedback but guess this is their way of rejecting a candidate! Stop responding and one fine day he/she will realize they have been rejected and won't bug anymore for the feedback. In one word: "Unprofessional" Finally received an update after almost a month, recruiter had left the company and thats why was not contacted. However, was apologized and felt better now. But the position has been put on hold! Thats weird! Looking forward!

The interview process was a one day affair and it happened in the company premise. After a written test came the first round of F2F interview. The first think which struck me was the calm demeanour of the interviewers and their ability to extract answer from me. They were a panel of two and were genuinely interested in knowing whether I know what I am talking about or not. During the whole interview process,never once did they behave like overzealous critiques. I say this because I was giving interview for a job profile where C++ knowledge is required and I had only Java experience. Interview questions varied from puzzles to technical questions on heap, stack, linked-list, keywords and their usage, static, encapsulation/abstraction and their implementation etc. The main interview lasted well over an hour and involved me writing some pseudo codes. Next came a F2F round with the local director of the firm followed by an HR round.
