When I interviewed with Gensler for an intern position we went through my portfolio and they asked me questions about interior design as well as my skill set. The interview process was very simple and I spoke with two of Gensler's interior designers

What is your favorite phase of the design process?
They conducted an English only interview. A self intro and portfolio sharing, followed by a quick, causal chat with team members. Very friendly vibe overall and I would recommend this firm.

Interview
The interview process felt like a gradual conversation where each step became more personal and specific. It started with a recruiter call that was relaxed and focused on my background and interest, then moved into a deeper discussion with the hiring manager where I walked through my experiences and explained my thinking and design approach.
they ask you to explain your portfolio and they ask questions about it. They also ask my last intern experiences. And if their is one specific project that i wish to join.
