GitLab Backend Engineer interview questions

I was contacted by a recruiter from Gitlab for this position. I wasnt looking for a job but it seemed a good opportunity so i started the interview process. There was an initial screening call with another recruiter and then she arranged the technical interview. After i passed the technical interview, which it was a very positive experience overall, they arranged an interview with the hiring manager. Hours before my interview i received an email telling me that they had to cancel my interview as they have filled the position. Of course thats something they hadnt mention at the beginning of the process or its not written at their handbook. Overall the whole process gave me a negative image for the interview process and the company especially when i was reached out from them

The whole process was super fast except the background check process which was held by a 3rd party company and all the interviewers were putting their effort to make it as fast as possible. All the interviewers had positive attitude and what I got is that they were positive because they were happy with their employer so it's just reflected to me during the interview sessions.
