I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at GitLab in Nov 2020
Interview
It was very straightforward and smooth. All three interviews occurred within a two week period, and I probably would have been able to get through it more quickly if I had more availability. I can’t be happier with the interview process. All my interviewers were punctual and polite, and really made it seem more like a conversation between people rather than a daunting interview. I had plenty of time to ask questions and all my interviewers made me feel like I was welcomed to the interview, rather than it just being something they had to do that day.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GitLab (Atlanta, GA) in Apr 2025
Interview
Went all the way through the interview process only to be rejected. I guess they planned to ghost me. I had to reach out for my reject letter. First interview was with a recuriter, following two hiring managers then with someone in a higher leadership role. Final interview was with a peer. Did require a mock call btw.
I applied online. I interviewed at GitLab (London, England)
Interview
It was fair and I was updated along the way. There are not really any complaints from me. Tasks could be paid instead of doing them for free like many companies do for your time.
