GitLab interview questions

I applied and received an invitation to a screening video chat within 24 hours. I was a little wary of the interview process as I read through previous Glassdoor reviews. I have to agree it’s a less than ideal experience. The interview itself was probably one of the strangest I’ve had and it felt like waste of time when it ended. The recruiter came across as slightly unprofessional in appearance and tone, and I was rushed through my answers. The questions themselves focused more on what I’d consider negatives than my professional qualifications such as why did you leave all of your previous employers (and yes, I went through them, which seemed irrelevant) and asked me what a professional failure was. Didn’t seem like screening call kind of questions. I was declined a few days later.
