Applied 2.5 months ago. Online it says 4-5 business days between each step, but my interviews, like some reviewers before me, took much longer to schedule. First, I completed a screening call. It consisted of telling them why I had left every company previously. I didn't hear back for 10 days, when I scheduled my next call with the team lead. I wish I had prepared more-be prepared to describe Git, how Gitlab differentiates, differences between Atlassian and Github, etc. They're looking for money-motivated, competitive reps. Next, I had a call with the Director of Sales and Marketing. It was a very serious interview and he pressed me to explain more on technical questions. A few days later, I was told I would not continue on. None of the emails from the recruiter were personalized-they were just interview scheduling emails. She never responded to any of my questions about the interviews or updating my status (since the process took longer than listed). Online, it states that you can get feedback on why you didn't continue, but once again my email was met with silence. Overall, I think Gitlab could be a great company to work at and I liked the people that I spoke to, but their recruiting process should better reflect what the website suggests.
