Interview
The process was fairly quick. I actually do not remember applying for this position because I did not have expert level SQL skills so I was surprised when I received an email from the recruiter, but excited. This would have been a dream job for me. I had a brief chat with the recruiter before being scheduled for two interviews the same day. The first interview was with the hiring manager and the second was with another Sr. Manager but a different department. I spoke to each for about an hour and they were very relaxed conversations that went well for the most part. The first interviewer expressed concern over my SQL skills and the second over me never having worked for a Saas company. I followed up after a week and was told they decided not to move forward with the application. The listed my lack of Saas experience which I found strange since they would have seen that prior to interviewing. I do believe they missed out on a good candidate but overall it was a good experience and I would apply again.
