Interview
Based on GitLab being a completely remote company, both the screening and interviews were remote, and done via Zoom. The interviews were very conversational, and although you could tell that they were looking for answers to specific questions, it didn't feel like "here's a question, and you must answer it."
I was impressed with the people to whom I spoke, as they were knowledgeable in the role, and were really looking at my background within the technical writing career space, how I react to situations as a manager, and if I would be a good fit within GitLab.
GitLab recruiting was also very communicative throughout the process, setting up interviews, and keeping me apprised of what was happening throughout the screening and interview process.
