I applied for the Paralegal position in McKinney through the company website and was called a month later by the recruiter to come in for an interview.
I interviewed with the Executive of the Legal department and the Associate General Counsel. I felt like the interview went well and sent the standard thank you email to the recruiter to forward on to those I interviewed with. I sent a follow-up email regarding the decision-making process a week out and at the 3-week mark and was essentially "ghosted" by the recruiter, M@tt.
During the interview, it was made clear that the department needed a paralegal ASAP, but imagine my surprise when I see the position newly posted on Indeed and Glassdoor a month after I interviewed (and two months after I applied). This company will be lucky to get and keep a good employee if this is the hiring practice at Globe Life/Torchmark.
The least the recruiter could have done was send me an email explaining that I wasn't a good fit or a decision hadn't been made yer. This is very poor recruiting management and maybe this recruiter should find another job if he can't be bothered to respond to a candidate's request for a follow-up.
