i will not be naming anyone specifically, as I do not believe in bashing their names but whome i came in contact at the office, only my experience from initial phone call to walking into their office.i was first contacted by Torchmark, also in Nj they operate as American Income Life - Giglione Ackerman. I was contacted on a saturday morning about a possible position in MGMT. Currently in a Mgmt role now making 80k+ that is compensated by a salary & commission. Due to my interest and always looking for opportunities, i was ok to go meet them and speak about the position. When i inquired about the different management positions available, they stated they would be more comfortable speaking to me in person. Set up the date and time, the persons name whom i would be meeting with and the woman on the phone also expressed me to do some research on the company and explicitly stated to search torchmark and warren buffet. i did my research including some indeed reviews and prior glassdoor reviews. Fast forward to the interview day. I drive to eatontown office and head into the building. it appears to be a factory of about 10 people doing interviews like a meat packing facility and a waiting room. the woman who is reception simply asked me for my resume and to take a seat. if you reached out to me, you should have a copy of it and i will provide the interviewer a copy of my own. i was then promptly grabbed by an interviewer and went into an office where we talked. he explained to me the position was for cold and warm calling to sell life insurance policies to blue collar / union laborers. i explained to him i was made to believe that i was being interviewed for a Mgmt role. he stated that only after 6 months you "could" be considered for a position into mgmt. He tried to reel me in with how much money i could make, etc, etc. i apologized to him, not interested and expressed my frustration with the deceit. He basically walked me out of the building but not before i went back in and took my resume back. Complete and total lie
