I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (London, England) in Jan 2020
Interview
the whole process took more than 3 months, which contains one online coding test, plus hirevue, and assessment center. For the assessment centre, it is 1:1 interview. Even though it is a software engineering position, it still requires some basic knowledge about finance. I feel think the interviewer do not seek for a candidate with a high level coding skill. They actually prefer someone has a finance background with a qualified coding skill.

Question 1
online coding test is quite simple, just some simple level coding tests on leetcode. For the assessment center. it contains more motivation questions, like why GS? and also some questions about finance, like call and put options
oa, hirevue, and superday. it was very easy, simple leetcode tagged questions. i found out about it through a school event. going to their sponsored events are helpful, having a referral helped me get the oa.
Online assessment, followed by final round with 1 technical round and 1 behavioural. I did this over zoom because I was overseas but most did it in person. Standard technical & scenario based behavioural questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (New York, NY) in Dec 2025
Interview
SuperDay, 2 back to back interviews. Technical + Behavioural. Leetcodes questions where easy to medium 2 per interview. I thought I answered them perfectly but might have got rejected because of the behavioural answers.
