After investing approximately two months in the interview process with the team at Gong, my experience was mixed.
Following initial outreach from the hiring manager, it took about two weeks to schedule the recruiter screen, and nearly another month to reconnect with the hiring manager. I was then advanced to the presentation stage, where I was asked—based on a brief, somewhat vague one-page document—to prepare an account plan and conduct a mock discovery call.
While I felt I performed well, it seemed the expectations were higher than what was outlined. During the discussion, I was asked what materials had been provided for preparation, but I did not receive any additional feedback or clarity afterward.
After the final round, there was a gap of roughly two weeks with no communication. Instead of receiving a follow-up call or message regarding the decision, I was sent a generic feedback request email, which felt misaligned given the time and effort invested throughout the process.
