Interview
I was contacted on LinkedIn for a phone screen. The recruiter said I moved on to the next round and sent additional information about next steps. I sent over my availability for interviews but never heard back.
I had a pleasant time interviewing with everyone but unfortunately their team matching processes is terrible. I got matched to 2 different teams and both times the interviewer did not follow the interview format I was informed about.
Since I already passed all of the technical and behavioral interviews, I was told that the team matching interview would be more of a conversation where I can ask more questions about the team. Instead, both times the interviewer asked me technical questions and had me come up with research study plans on the spot. This is not a problem for most interviews but when you’re explicitly told that you will not have to to that, it creates a poor experience
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Google (São Paulo, São Paulo) in Aug 2025
Interview
