I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Gordon Food Service | Service Alimentaire Gordon
Interview
-Applied online, received a phone call from HR about 1-2 weeks later. Interviewed over the phone (about 20-25 mins).
-HR contact called back about 1 week later, requesting interview with the Sales Manager.
-In-person interview with Sales Manager lasted about 2 hours. Very intense, difficult questions...make sure you are prepared.
-Rode with a current CDS 1 week later (all day, about 8-4pm). Make sure to ask lots of questions to determine if the job is a good fit. They will usually be pretty honest with you.
-Interview with Regional Manager the next week. Shorter interview, about 45 mins.
-Final interview is with the Director of Sales. I got the offer later that day (interviewed around 9am, got the offer around 6pm).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They may try to "talk you out of the job." For example, a question I got was: "I am sometimes hesitant to hire someone with your background because of *list of reasons.* Why do you think you are a good fit for this role?"
Basically, they want to hear that you are willing to fight for the job.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Gordon Food Service | Service Alimentaire Gordon (Atlanta, GA) in Jul 2022
Interview
Straight forward, two interviews, communicated well with process. No huge lapses in process, all was very smooth and prompt. A lot of situational questions requiring you to pull experiences from your past and provide explanation of how you handled and the result.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Gordon Food Service | Service Alimentaire Gordon (New York, NY) in May 2017
Interview
It was a long process, which included an over the phone interview, and 3 separate interviews. The whole process from start to finish took about 3 months. Even though it was a long process, I believe it was well worth it. I got the chance to meet several people within the company during the interviews. I felt extremely comfortable and confident even though I was beyond nervous. They don't make it feel like they're better than you, and they don't try to scare you like the other food service companies do. After interviewing with other companies, I see how much more personable Gordon's is compared to the rest. I highly recommend this company.
