I applied online and had an initial interview with the recruiter to discuss compensation ranges and set up an interview with the President of the Media team. The interview was very easy. I would find out after getting the job that the application is not competitive. Usually, just one application per opening.
Upon interviewing with the media President I discovered that the media team is the marketing department of GovCIO and not a traditional media entity as positioned online. The reason the media team sells sponsorships is to cover the marketing costs of the government contracting company GovCIO.
