I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Grant Thornton (Baltimore, MD)
Interview
I applied through our accounting fair and campus career website. They had a pre-interview night the day before the interview. I showed up, ate their food, and asked questions. The next day we had two 30 min. interviews with a partner and a manager. They asked mostly behavioral questions and were really looking for people who could work in a team.
The first round of interviews was a group interview with four people, followed by an English essay. Neither the interview questions nor the essay topic had anything to do with auditing, and the interview questions seemed to be fixed; some interviewees even knew the questions beforehand. If that's true, I think it's unfair.
The interview process at Grant Thornton typically involves multiple stages, including an initial phone screening, a behavioral interview, and a technical or case-based assessment. Candidates may also meet with managers or partners. The process emphasizes cultural fit, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, often concluding with a final round or offer discussion
