Great process, but a little too structured and rigid. Had three rounds, one of them being a 3hr+ interview. Overall very seamless and organized and effective communication from recruiter. My experience was positive in general.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Greenhouse Software (New York, NY) in Apr 2019
Interview
The interview consisted of a phone call with a recruiter, phone call with the hiring manager, a take-home project and then a 4 hour on-site. All were prompt and on-time.
The take-home project was poorly crafted. Instructions were unclear and the assignment was unpaid.
The recruiter I dealt with had poor taste in messaging and language in ALL of his communications. A specific example from one note was mention that company was "fortunate" to find candidates with better skillsets than mine. This is an inappropriate amount of candor and Greenhouse should know better.

Thank you for your feedback on our process. I appreciate the time you took to share it.
We appreciate your candor regarding the language of the take home assignment and we will continue to iterate on the clarity of language. We design each take home assignment with the goals of both enabling candidates to demonstrate their skills and providing the candidate with visibility into the kind of work they’d be responsible for on the job. It sounds like we missed the mark for you.
Regarding your feedback on the communication style of the recruiter you worked with, please understand that we err on the side of transparency with all our candidates. We hear your feedback and will continue to strive for the best balance of candor and thoughtfulness.
