The interview process was been quite lengthy, especially for a company that prioritizes mental health. Initially, the assignment was estimated to take around 3 hours, but in reality, it ended up consuming 7-8 hours of my time. Following that, there was a 45-minute interview after meeting with a recruiter, which, altogether, was mentally exhausting.
One piece of advice I'd offer is for interviewers to remain engaged during the interview process. Applicants invest significant time and effort into these interviews, so it's disheartening when interviewers multitask or seem disinterested. It comes across as unprofessional and lacks consideration for the candidate's mental well-being.
Furthermore, receiving a canned rejection after investing so much effort into the process is disappointing. It would have been more respectful to interview the candidate first before assigning such a time-consuming project. Being told you're no longer being considered after putting in extensive work is discouraging.
As someone who believed Grow to be an innovative, forward-thinking company that genuinely cares about mental health, this experience has been disappointing. Moving forward, I won't be applying for positions at Grow again. Also, try to be culturally diverse. I would take every review on here as evidence to stay away from this company. I read all these reviews but understand that not everyone has the same experience but it is the same experience. If you want to waste your time with hours of free labor for them to just decline you then go ahead and do it.
